sooo im lookn to rout my purg and am wondering what kind of tubing you guys use?? i bought some 3/16 aluminum and its not long enough for what i want it for so i was wondering if anyone is useing the stuff from maunal boost guages that nylon stuff is that ok for the purg....were takn the stuff AFTER the solinoid where it vents to atmosphere
Yes, the nylon tube is fine. Just be aware that it'll fly around unless you tie it down real good to somewhere stable.
the nylon stuff is not fine it will break. get the copper lining they sell it at advanced auto or pepboys or autozone. its usually next to the nylon lining its like 5 or 10 dollars more and eazy to route.

With that said, I'm not saying nylon is the best choice. I would personally go with copper tubing, but for what it's worth nylon isn't bad.
I've been using nylon tubing on a dual purge system for over a year now, and I haven't had a single problem.
I'm using brass compression fittings to put everything together. Works great.

To me purging is for my piece of mind to know that the N20 is in the lines..it would suck to have the n20 come on and dump nothing but fuel.
Plus its a crowd pleaser
although most of the people that come to the drag strip to watch aren't the sharpest tools in the shed, so it doesn't take much to get them excited

Tom, you know I like you but that makes no sense at all.
It's two different solenoids so even if the purge works that does not guarantee that the NO2 solenoid will activate.
Both the fuel and nitrous solenoids should be connected to the same power and ground source so there is slim possibility of them firing separately, But it can still happen.
A NO2 pressure gauge will tell you how full your bottle is because it wont build pressure even with a blanket and no one on here should be spraying under 850 psi.
But, if you like to get the crowd rilled up, then purge away.

It's cool Tom, I didn't know **** about NO2 until I read the instructions and installed my kit.
But yeah, the purge is on a separate solenoid then the actual NO2 solenoid.
You waiting for the new tranny before you put some times down?

I know the purge will get the air out of the lines. After I re read my comment, I guess it doesn't make sense the way I wrote it. What I meant was that since I don't have a remote bottle opener, that when I purge the line I know then that I opened the bottle and the n20 is flowing..
Hope that makes sense
Yes, just waiting on the tranny.

You might also want to considering purging after a run. Solenoid seals can be damaged if left under high pressure for to long.
BTW I've used a nylon purge line for 2 years, no problem.
