I hate to mention this and I hope I'm wrong. Do a compression and leak down test on cylinder #6! Did the other plugs show a lean or rich condition? When you said #6 plug was melted, was the plug all there?

Yeah do what he said...and make sure you are using Cooler plugs like the NGK LFR6A-11....You probably went lean and detonated in #6 and most likely fried the rings or piston Hope everything works out well...

#6 again except you went rich not lean?

Can you post a pic of the "melted" plug?

Don't spray anymore.

1. Are you using UR Pulleys?
2. What is your bottle pressure?
3. Do you hae purge?
4. Can we see the Dyno graph?
5. Did the bottle go empty and you just sprayed fuel?
6. What intake and plenum?

Thanks

The plug on the #6 cilynder was melted the other ones was find and the car w/o the system run fine! I'm gonna do a comprasion test today in that cilynder... the head of the plug was melted the rest was fine (melted like a lean condition... that is the issue because on the dyno was rich all the time!)

12secZ questions:

1. yes UR crank pully
2. 950
3. yes
4. the dyno A/F mix was on 10.9 and the hp was drop!
5. the bottle was full!
6.Crawford plenum!

ur running a 175-200 shot i take it?

1. the plugs that melted where they 1 or 2 steps colder?
2. and where they copper, irridium, platinum??
3. what n2o system are you running NOS, ZEX, NX?
4. what size jets are you using?

i dont see how the crank pulley could of caused it if he was running a 10.9 a/f. if anything isnt the crank pulley responsible for going lean?? damn, i just ordered my crank pulley a few days ago too. i hope its not the cause.

im guessing here, but you might be getting in too much fuel. 10.9 might be a little too rich maybe? that could bog down ur car and cause you too lose power, and thats y i was wondering what size jets you were using.

how bad was the spark plug melted? any damage to the threading on the engine block?

2. Iridium
3. NOS
4. 63/35 150 shot

I put the 52/28 (100 shot) and the car feels fine I will go to the dyno to see the mix... I assume that my fuel pressure is not enougth for the 150 shot (63/35) but in the same time I have a 5' long line that goes from the fuel adapter to the Selenoid... btw the bottle was full I check it before spraying!

I had lots of issues on the Dyno with your setup UR, Crawford etc

I removed the UR pulleys to fix it.

Glad it all worked out. I fried 2 sets of ZEX plugs on the Dyno and the only thing I could think was the vibrations were inducing false KR or simulating detonation.

Wierd about the plug. I had a similair experience with two sets of plugs. Removing the UR pulleys got my HP back uop. Never know why the plugs FRIED, always though it was ZEX's triple ground electrode and short shank. I slammed them pretty good on here for a month, I'm sure the whole story is still archived somewhere.

I change the fuel line (5' long) and relocated the fuel selenoid the car is fine know I think the fuel pressure is a little weak... well maybe in my case only, who knows!

Thanks!
