Wet vs. Dry
I thought I was all set to order a kit and the question came up, wet or dry? The guy at the store made a call to a shop and they said dry if you plan an adding a turbo or super-charger (I do).
1. I called Zex and they said the Z can only do a wet system because it has no fuel return. Zex said that running a dry system will lean out the car. The wet system will always add the right amount of fuel to compensate for the nitrous, whereas an FMU (eManage) won't "know" about the nitrous being added.
2. I stopped in and talked to a tuner who is local. He does a lot of nitrous setups and said wet was no good with a turbo. He said he could tune the dry system so the A/F ratios were dialed in.
3. I have a call in to another tuner in town, waiting to hear back.
I only plan on using a 75 jet before the turbo, and a 25 jet after.
Help?

Also, it looks the the NX kit for imports is dry. Is that correct?

I am planning to go with a NX dry kit for my 2003 350Z track model, any suggestions on wether or not i should go with this kit. Reason, I don't want to modify the car that much by adding spx fuel adaptors, changing the plugs, and etc. Just want to hook up and spray. Is that possible? I didn't want to do a lot of modifing. I am going with a 75hp shot of n2o any suggestions.

youre really asking for trouble with a dry shot. nitrous isnt a plug and play system. its not like installing an intake. you have to be very carefull with it just as any other F/I mod you do.
1. with any shot over 50 you WILL need colder plugs. doesnt take more then an hour to install all 6 even if you take your time. with any shot less then 50, dont even bother spending the money on the kit. stick of N/A in that case. you can get the same power N/A as you would with a 50 shot.
2. your going with n2o, and your saving thousands as it is over F/I. put down a couple of extra bucks and get yourself a good wet kit with all the guages and safety switch, etc. NX is a good company, but for the z, the nx dry kit is a no no.
3. you dont have to get the spx fuel adapter. i dont have one. i just T-ed into the fuel line. the whole thing took about 5-10 minutes to complete and its hassle free. the kit you buy will have all the hardware you need to T into your fuel line.
4. use the search button. there's tons of older threads about a ton of nitrous questions you might have.
