Tsukuba time for GT-R 1:03 with VDC stock, Z06 1:04
Ring time for Z06 7:42, Ring time for GT-R 7:38.

GTR (R35) FTW, and not for the reasons Greg says.
The ZR1 is badass for the price, it would be my second choice ^_^
The GTR is just an all around badass car.
It looks sweet(though some may disagree)
It puts down 500whp
It is AWD
It is not nearly as common as the vette and never will be (Around here)

Article from Top Gear
The author and his co-editor spent quite some time in Germany testing the GT-R side-by-side against a 911 and he says he was astonished at how much better the GT-R was at everything in comparison. He found the 911 suspension to be reluctant to keep the car stuck to the road under all different conditions and says "although a really good driver could push the 911 to its limits around the curves, in a GT-R your mom could do the same", going on to add that he was very nervous trying to keep up with the GT-R in a 911 around curvy roads.
