hey adam.. i am not trying to down talk to you or disrespect you. I am also not calling you immature, BUT...
Do some research and look around at how many young guys on this site have totaled Z's within days or weeks of having them. I'm not trying to say the Z is an uncontrollable beast, i just would like to see more Z's at the meets. Be careful and have fun.

Haha, you sound like my mom. The only thing that will be new to me wth the Z is the ability to turn and go fast. My car now is a 94 impala ss so the power adjustment will be not big deal. I've been lucky enough to go 2 years without any kind of accident (knock on wood), and i hope to keep that up. I'm not like most of my friends that dirve like a**holes all of the time. No tickets so far either. I understand your concern though, thanks, and i hope to be at one of the meets soon

Welcome and I hope to see at our meets. Just one thing about the power to car thing. A FWD is a big difference compared to a RWD. Even if the power is the same. I've had a 340HP fwd car before and it was way different than when I first got the rear end of my Z loose on the street. Good luck and be careful. Now on to the cutting up.

Edit: nevermind. I was thinking of the new impalas. Im an idiot. But the cars are totally different than a Z.

The old impala ss is rear wheel drive, big V8

 

my advice is to get an 07...i have an 06 which i bought in nov of last year, wish i would have waited but i hate waiting
