I'm looking at a 2005 SLK350. Carfax reports "Manufacturer Buyback or Lemon". If I go to my local dealer with the VIN, will he be willing or able to pull up the records on the car so I can find out why it was bought back. Common sense tells me to avoid it already but I just wanted to see if was recalled for something trivial or serious.

I can find out Dave, do you have the vin/stock #? My wife has direct access to all of the inventory reports, and she can call the gm to get some info on it.
How many people are fans of carbon here? As I said earlier, I ordered the Asuka carbon hood, and I was thinking about going all carbon on the top half, roof, A-pillars, and hatch. Bottom half is db, and I have carbon black wheels. Any input is appreciated.
that is what i was doing when i wrecked my last car i was gonna do carbon hood, bumper, side skirts, fenders, a pillars, and hatch. i had everthing but the a pillars and hatch when i wrecked the first car. i was gonna paint the roof black the roof overlays dont fit right and you can see some of the blue near the back of the roof where it meets the hatch.

I don't think it's right that he plays with them. Shouldn't he be playing for the USA since he plays in the USA and gets paid the big bucks to do so. The game has been interesting. Score right now is USA 87, China 54. 5 mins left to play.

That's how international sports work-- a ton of players play for teams outside their native land, but when it's time for international competition, the player represents his country.
The NBA is the pinacle of basketball-- the best paid, the best athletes, etc. For the same reason a Brasilian soccer player leaves Brasil to play in Spain/ Italy/ Germany/ etc, a foreign basketball player leaves his country to play in the NBA.
