CENLA SCCA friends,
The second CENLA "night" event of the summer is next Saturday afternoon, July 18th, 2009 at the State Police EVO Center near Zachary. See http://www.cenla-scca.org/pdf/EVO181v1directions.pdf for directions. (ALSO - see end of this note for other SCCA events this month)
We will againg be using the new class structure that separates cars running true street tires from cars running R compound or pure race tires. (If you are like me and prefer to compete on street tires rather than changing to R comps, come try this out.)
Registration: 3:00pm-4:30pm
Tech: 3:00pm-4:30pm
Drivers Meeting 5:00pm
First Car Out 5:30pm
SCCA MEMBERS $25
NON MEMBERS $35 DOUBLE ENTRY FOR SCCA MEMBERS ONLY EXTRA $20 Pre Registration (pre-paid only) at ww.dlbracing.com.
For those who suffered through the long lines at registration in June, there is good news
1) Gayle will be back leading registration
2) We plan to eliminate some of the paper registration records that CENLA was creating
3) You can help registration move faster yourself by -- arriving early (registration opens at 3 pm), pre-registering at www.dlbracing.com, making sure that the info on your registration card is correct, being sure that you bring your drivers license (and SCCA card if you are a member) and it is current. If you are not a member, fill out a weekend membership form as soon as you arrive, unless you bought one for an event this weekend, then bring it instead.
Other SCCA events:
Sunday (TOMOROW), July 12, SOWELA SCCA Autocross #5 at Burton Coliseum, Lake Charles, see http://www.sowela-scca.org/
Saturday and Sunday, July 25 & 26, Delta SCCA Autocross at Belle Chase Naval Air Station (mandatory pre-registration), see http://www.delta-scca.org/wordpress/

Soleil, you are a bich for missing the fights last night! That was one of the best cards I have ever seen, although Alan Belcher got straight up jacked on the split decision BS. He beat the chit out of Yoshihiro Akiyama, and flat out got robbed on the decision. Not sure who is going to be able to beat Brock, he is a freakin monster.

Does anyone here know of anyone with a G35 sedan, Altima, Maxima or any similar Nissan bolt patterns that might be looking for some chrome 20" wheels w/tires?

The fights were good last night but I think Akiyama did win the fight. Here's Lesner apologizing http://sports.yahoo.com/video/player...wEd4Z3XeRYEo14
