Curious, where does everyone work? I work at a company called Syscom that's downtown. I'm an IT guy for most of the hospitals, clinics, few law firms and marketing places.

Just noticed there are a few of you with enough down time and access to a computer like me. Plus I'm trying to find a topic of discussion that I'm not totally clueless about. Hahaha, oh well.

 

I see a lot of down time on this thread.

I am freelance so I am at home all day except on the weekend when I am tuning on the dyno.

Oh well. I work for Manson Construction in the Houma, LA office. I'm a design engineer and a draftsman for the Gulf Coast Hopper Dredge Division.

i'm suppose to call tomo to set up for my second interview for sometime this week...the class i'm taking is call reiki. i've been waiting to take this class for about 2yrs now and it just open it..

Syscom... never heard of them. I used to work for a small outfit downtown called Bivium, and we did small business's in the NOLA area. All IT and telecom related support. Then Katrina came along, and they.. well, went under with everything else.

Now i work for Touro Infirmary Uptown.. i am one of their Sys Admins. We were recently outsourced to Siemens Global.

As far as downtime? I have no idea what you guys are talking about... i work my *** off daily! In fact, i work soooo much they tell me to go home.. like today.. they said "Will man, you really should take some time off and get some rest".. so i decided against my better judgement to take some time off...
