Does he have a sat radio too? I'm guessing the antenna on the dash is for the navigation. I was planning on putting the navi antenna on the dash and the XM radio antenna on the rear SB.

 

Hey Will, I just got my eyelids and fairlady Z badge and I just read your post with the part number...my part number is: 84895-cd40a instead of 400.

Just checking to see if it's a fake. I mean it looks fine but I'm looking at the Z right now and it looks like the sticker on it is pulling the paint off the emblem....teh gayness.

I got the eyelids unpainted btw because they called and told me they had problems with the shop so all they could do was send unpainted, so I agreed....but aren't they suppose to have stick tape on them?

Would the hatch really cause wear and tear on the wire? Lookin at the hatch, I would have thought that there was enough clearance.

What I would do is just test the reception with the antenna on the strut bar without hiding the wire just to see how the reception is.

Eclipse doesn't support XM

 

Dave.. i don't have XM.. Not sure on what the antenna looks like. But like Soleil said, i mounted the GPS antenna on the front dash next to windshield.. in the middle. The DNX7100 comes with a magnetic plate that you can mount anywhere..


Scott.. not sure on the fairlady Z emblem part number you have.. as far as the sticky tape.. you’re supposed to provide the 3M double stick auto grade tape.. any auto paint and supply store has this.. also, when you get it painted, ask the body shop.. they should have some.


other than that, i think i had a mild case of a caffeine overdose yesterday.. i was fuuuuq'd up for most part of the afternoon. My **** smelled like Maxwell House.. lol
