It's getting some dust at this point. This whole undertaking started in late July. I set this Wednesday as my absolutely-has-to-be-finished-by date, but the clutch I ordered two weeks ago was in California as of Friday (& didn't move because of yesterday being a holiday). I'm hoping it arrives either today or tomorrow & that the shop can throw everything together.
I wanted the car to be done because I'm driving to DFW & then flying out to NYC & I don't really want to drive my Jetta that far as it doesn't have cruise control. Lazy, I know. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't care how long the work took.
Whatever happens, I can't wait to get it done & have some fun with it.

Thanks dude. Mind you, I'm in Shreveport, so DFW is only a two & a half hour drive, so I should be straight.
Everything got bolted up today-- parts to motor & motor to car. Clutch arrives tomorrow, then that & the tranny get thrown together, the intercooler piping gets finished, & everything should be kosher.
