Umm i say we protest and boycott for the sake of animal rights! Cruelty to animals is wrong!!!! (unless its sex with sheep - they soooo soft)

You can not push your car safely as much as you can in an auto-x. Practice is what the novice class is for.

Do they give you some kind of practice session before? I was just gonna go to one of the big parking lots around here and practice some hard cornering and braking.

i would just go and do your first run as a practice. Normally what i do anyway, dont expect to do phenomenal on the first try out there. ive done 3 autocrosses and just did a road course with my car and im still learning how to push the car further than feels reasonable to me. seat time is the key
