Lol I was driving a pontiac when I saw him....I forgot to mention the day after I got my Z it had to go to Nissan to get fixed lol....I was driving it and when I would put it in 3rd gear the RPMs would remain constant and the speed wasnt going up or down HOWEVER my foot was to the damn floor lol. Dealership thought I was some young kid who didnt know how to drive a stick which was partially true but something was seriously wrong. ANyhow come to find out it was something to do with the electronics of the throttle body I believe and it was shorting out...basically the car wasn't being told my foot was on the gas?? Its all fixed now though.

did they just reset the tb by resetting the ECU, or did they actually change something out?

Ah, Welcome to the board, John. I've met you a couple of times with Lance at UNO!

Glad ya finally made the switch over to a Z! =]

I'm sure you won't regret it!

I say go with coilovers. If you can't afford the wheels you want right now, then wait. Drive around on the stocks until you CAN afford them. It would be pointless to buy wheels you don't REALLY want. =]

just my opinion.

Hey if I get stance...how big of spacers would I need to make my stock wheels sit a bit better? Would I need just the spacers or would I need to lengthen my bolts also?

I'm no guru in this area by any means but, I would probably got with a 15mm+ for stockers. I was looking into 10 for the front and 15 for the rear, but I personally don't mind the way my car sits now, so whatever.

Me personally, I'd somehow extend the bolts weather you buy longer ones, they come on the spacer, ect. I've known several people shear them off just by putting a spacer between the wheel and the hub.

20mm front and 25mm rear makes you sit pretty flush with OEM wheels

and most spacers under 25mm come with extended bolts, which are an easy install

do you recommend the gr pro over the gr?
its $100 more and 16k/14k instead of 12k/11k

I think they are more adjustable also, not certain.

I still don't know enough about coilovers, but I think it'll be my next mod.

Id love to get some of the tein EDFC action, but its too rich for my blood

higher spring rates prob mean rougher ride, its rough to begin with on certain roads, i drive out to new orleans east almost everyday and i like punish my coils out there and its real rough. EDFC is really nice, also tanabe has the TEAS controller. Greg would prob be able to help you out on the GR+.
