yeah they don't fit at all obviously.

it's like a fat girl trying to fit in a smaller size. she can do it, but she shouldn't. and no one thinks she looks good wearing it.

if no one thinks it looks good, then why are most of these comments like "NICE" or "looks good" ???

you just don't think it looks good. & thats cool. you're entitled to your own opinion. but don't speak for everyone else.

did I speak for your opinion of this car? learn to read within the confines of a sentence structure's context and maybe you won't have this problem next time.

So is my comment not valid? those rims in no way fit by any definition except maybe because they have the correct lug pattern and the diameter isn't too large to fit. That is technically correct, but obviously not true. We all make fun of cars like this:

but when it's mad wide JDM yo rims on a Z it's different. because? yeah, there is no difference, just functional blindness in the pursuit of trends.

Werd... arguing with opinions is just as fun as playing tug-o-war with a tree.

It depends on how old the tree is

Yep.... I still feel that way.

I win every time against the tree.

but my statements stray slightly from pure opinion:

1 - they don't fit (albeit in my subjective definition of 'fit' I explained, but it's a relatively innocuous pigeonhole.)

2 - it's the same as ill fitting rims on any other car (my subjective argument of why it's acceptable: this is just 'in style' at the moment so people throw logic out the window to rationalize themselves, not realizing they are not ironic interpretations of a failed style, but simply following it.)

tilt that camera up a bit (to match the angle) and add a touch of camber to the white car and I bet you can't see the difference except that one is a Z and one is a ...whatever the hell that white car is.

- both are too high for the rim fitment
- both wheels (and more tire than should) stick out of the fender
- neither is running enough camber to compensate for the ill-fitting rims

and I know it's my opinion and I will be clear that I only speak for myself.

He could have fit much less extreme offset rims and it would a) look better b) drive better. but then he couldn't say 'I have 18 inch wide rims on the front of my Z... and they are a - 40 offset! I am uber fitment god'.

But if you are going to do that, the car needs to be lower and more camber than he is running, evidence that is can begin to look respectable:

is her fitment that perfect balance of stick or is it just that she put the car at the perfect ride height and camber settings but is running the same type of fitment as this Z? hmm... I personally think her rears look stupid and she could have fit a less aggressive fitment and had the same visual impact without the downsides (the funky angles).

Throw some weak *** offset wheels on that car and it wouldnt stand out nearly as much. The first thing you notice in that picture is the wheels. Its a style....since when is style ever the most functional option.

I don't really understand your point. or what you define as 'weak *** offsets'. throw me a number... +25, +30, +10?

and we can get into why it is that you first notice the wheels... and if that is a good thing or not. lol.

About time motormouth spoke for some of us. Looks so rediculous. And when he lowers it and puts all that cool neg camber, he'll wipe out tires in 2k miles.

Valid point, and really I could care less, it's not my car. It's also not my cup of tea, but I do still think that it looks good, practical or not. Different is what makes the world go round, and to each his own.
