Default Laffy guys new project! Lots o' pics

Well me and trent got together and decided on a new project and with the other laffayette guys we decided to do a engine swap in a 240. We wanted something we could learn alot with and still have a bad *** car afterwards! We also didnt want something pretty straight forwad such as a sr20 swap so we decided on a different route. LS1 here we come!!!

The victim

Pretty clean little 240! Engine runs real rough tho. No worries tho we not keeping it in there!

Off with his head! I mean hood.

So the car sat there for a week or 2 till we had free time to tear into it! Now this is a learning project and that meant we wanted to learn as much as we can about everything we could. So we started with practcing alittle on the hood for our 50$ rustoleum paint job. Now keep in mind we plan on tRacking this car. That includes learning to drift some also.

Well i learned a fee things on that hood. I oversprayed some due to going alittle too slow at one point.

Time for some wet sanding!

So while i was doing this trent and cody were doing this.

Then we all 3 got to it and finished the job off.

Now the front fenders, front bumper, headlight panels are off and will be painted. We decided the red was too bright and we wanted a darker red but limited color selection around here. So we now decided we will go all gloss black.

So next day we moved on and started taking all the unneeded stuff off the motor and out the engine bay.

BTW rusted bolts are the worst!

Now onto the motor and tranny itself. Thanks to Tao a local car guy and drifter for letting us borrow his engine lift!!!

UP UP and away....

Final result!

Note - trent is lucky he was taking pics and not in so many gay pics!

So now we got this.

and this

Next time we get a chance alot of degreasing and washing is goin on.
Updates to come!

SORRY FOR THE BLURRY PICS!

We not rushing anything and this will take some time which is good cause rushing all this would lead to mistakes and ulcers from stress lol. We will talk to a local badd *** engine builder soon and sort out some options.
