I live on Essen near Piccadilly. They hit 9 cars the same night as mine within a block of mine was. Mine was parked 10 feet from my apartment and I didn't hear a thing.

 

I wouldn't hold your breath on the fingerprint being successful. A$$ holes like that stole my brothers pioneer head unit and my GF's navigation out of their cars in my complex near brightside. They were trying to get into my car when something must have spooked them cause i was spared. They left entire handprints that the cops took off of my car and we even had the guy on video. And what did the cops do about it??????? Absolutely nothing except ask us if we had insurance.

Unfourtunately the police in Baton Rouge have bigger fish to fry than to track down some lowly car audio thieves.

 

I was actually surprised they even tried to lift prints. I expected them to just ask what they took and leave but they actually spent almost an hour looking at everything really closely.

I don't expect anything to come of it. I've got insurance so I'll have everything fixed in the next week or two.

 

i live on millerville near I12 and they have been hitting cars here left and right for the last 8-10 months or so. they hit as many as 7 in one night.....ALL PARKED NEXT TO EACH OTHER.....they got a nav system out of my 08 dodge ram qc when i had that. when i asked to see if they could try to get a print off the dash all the cop said was "this isnt csi son." but supposedly the police have a warrant on the guy thats been doing it here, maybe its the same guy. they look like they did the same thing to your car as they did my truck, they tried to pry off the passenger glass and ended up shattering it

thats why im glad my z and bike stay nice and hidden in a garage now. i hope the police catch them before i do

 

Sounds like the same MO as the guy who got me. He hit 3 other cars here. All parked right next to each other.

 

did you happen to park in the corner of the lot, or in a secluded area away from light?....thats how it is here. there is a small area of parking in between two bldgs in the very back and thats where they are having about 90% of the break ins.

I purchased a new VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI for my wife.
I'm working on selling her 04 Oldsmobile Alero
and now I'm looking for something used to drive back and forth to work.

Current Cars:
2010 Jetta Sportwagen TDI
2004 Alero
1995 Altima
1989 240sx

The plan was to get something nice for my wife (she deserves it for putting up with me), getting rid of the alero and altima, getting a eco-box to daily (Honda Fit) and keeping the 240sx for fun.

All is going as planned so far, but I'm having second thoughts on the Fit.
I've been thinking of getting something more sporty.
-350z (10-15k)
-Genesis Coupe (20-25k)
-370z (save longer) (20-25k in a few years)
-Clean 240sx S14 (3-5K)

I used to know what car I wanted and then dwell on it until I got it, but I'm completely opposite. I have no clue what i want! ahhhhhh

I'll probably end up just keeping the altima, selling the alero, and putting some money into the 240.

oh the tires are to the cords and just saving up some money to buy some tires i need rears pretty soon as well and just dont feel like forking over the 1000 to buy a new set of tires

 

All those break-ins suck. B/R is going downhill fast.

 

Supposedly has a good rep. They are Peake BMW's body shop, and mainly work on high end vehicles. Hope this helps.
