Here is a good example for you Shawn:

So, .357Sig is a .40cal. shell with a 9mm bullet

Bonus:
It's technically a .38cal bullet. .380, 9mm, .38special, .357magnum, .357sig all shoot the same projectile, the only difference(with the exception of the SIG) is the actual length of the shell.

I think there in the 5k range and come with a scope. We have around 10 Barrett rifles in stock at all times

In a standard, say, 125 grain bullet(grain being bullet weight) the SIG has about 100 less fps velocity and around 70 less pounds of energy than the Mag in a gun with a 4" barrel.

Will you or the person you're shooting notice it, probibally not.

Mag's advantage comes in it's potential to be "loaded hot," or have extra powder in the shell for globs more energy and speed(like turbo on a car)

Sig's advantage is large magazine capacity and quicker reloads
