Turned out to be like 6 in. in flat areas.

Got my mesh on, Dave. Don't worry about pulling your bumper off. I bought a long roll of pipe hanger wire with holes, cut off short lengths, and bent them into L's. Epoxied them around the openings, and secured the mesh with screws/nuts. Holds on really tight. Left the sides out, as I like the look without them filled atm. I'll post pics in a bit.
