Going to meet Travis and fix my y-pipe! Then put the Z back together and go for a drive.

Looks like the family and I are taking a drive this afternoon to the Loretto area.

 

So Nitrous Day One update...plug 6 was something FOUL...oil, more than just blow by sitting on top of spark plug...so, needless to say, no more distance achieved on install til this gets addressed....Tuesday Z mechanic is fixing it, but install of full kit minus Plugs is done.

 

Well, at least you found a problem before it got worse. Now you can fix it and feel comfortable knowing that the Z will run better and stronger.

I just put the exhaust back together! It worked! Thanks to Travis, we got the other flex joint put in. I just put some sweat, tears, and curse words into the reinstall. ****! If you guys think metal can't stretch, you haven't seen me do it. lol

Anyway, the car sounds better. There's no more buzzing from the leak in the joint underneath the driver's side, and the hissing from the test pipes is gone. I used newer and better gaskets for the TP into the y-pipe. I hope it stays put!

Thanks again Travis! Very nice of you to take a couple of hours out of your Sunday to help me out. You're gonna get drunk next weekend! On me!

 

Anyone going to the ZOOM meeting tonight? It's at Grumpy's in Roseville on Snelling Ave near the state fairgrounds. I plan on going since someone wants to buy a part from me. Hopefully, I won't be the only Z33 there.

 

I would but of coarse I gotta work. Just a couple more years and hopefully I can get a day job...

SO need to make decision, think I am going to go dyno and tune at different place than I found...anybody have good experiences anywhere they would like to share...?

Even though I can leave stock timing and map for up to 100 shot, still feel i will prob get COBB or other piggyback unit.

 

cobb only works with stock intake.

Just got home, Par. I left at about 9pm. I was the only Z33 that showed up. The rest were 240's to 280's. Still nice to see the old cars so I can look at what the old Z needs to look like.

I agree that DB or Full Blown. FB is here in Apple Valley not too far from my house. I've been there once.
