I really hope your not playing cause those two chassis models are my favorite! Drove the 997 GT3 2 years ago and loved every minute of it. That the GT2, RUF models, the Bad Boys Porsche and the Carrera GT are a few of the Porsches I would love to own.....

I'm not kidding. Haha! Well, sort of. A coworker has the Porsche but doesn't know where he can park it since he lives in an apartment complex. He said if I let him have a space in my garage, I can drive it whenever. Muahahahahaha! And it's modified.

Man, I have to do something about this exhaust. It really needs to be adjusted on the passenger side and lowered just a titch. The noise vibration on the rear diff is madness. Plus, it bothers me that I can't get a good press on the rear bumper just above the exhaust tip.

Is it touching in the same spot mine was? Mine was hitting on that little tab that that hangs of the diff. I also used a turn buckle on the driver side to adjust it out so its even and level.

So I drive my rents van (big boy 02' Dodge Grand C lol) during the winter and whenever I don't feel like driving the Z. It started to sound and feel like it was about to stall yesterday, so I decided to take it to a shop close by in the Woodhood this evening since it was too dark to try and look at it. Succchhh a waste of time.

Conversation:
Me: Yo called you guys to see if I could come in.
Autoguy: ok let me get your info (blah blah blah)
Me: ok (looking at cookies next to me)
(I also told him the check engine light had been on for years cause of a really minor error fault code)
Autoguy: ok so what we'll do is run a diagnosis which is $99 (sort of slurs that).....>>>
Me: (eyes get off cookies) Ummm...oh you guys charge 9.99 for a diagnosis??
Autoguy: No its $99 plus to check the vehicle (physically) is $25.
Me: Well i'm just going to take a cookie for today (ugh)

There was more conversation, but that's besides the point. I have my own diagnosis tool or even if I didn't I could go to O'Reilly's or even Autozone to get it for free!!

I really wanted to tell the guy. "Umm if I would have known I was going to get F&*Ked coming here I would have at least worn a red dress and gone to dinner with you so I won't feel bad about you guys F8&cking me and everyone else so badly."

But if they fix whats wrong do they credit you or remove the fee? The shops Ive worked at in the past it was standard policy to charge a fee to look at it. (gets rid of the you figure it out then I'll fix it my self shoppers ) Most of those Autozone and other stores really can only tell you if its a handful of things wrong, if it takes any sort of skill outside of reading what a code reader says they cant help unless you find the rare knowledgeable employee who actually know their shiz at those stores.

Funny story here but when I worked at Goodyear in GA we had an Autozone 100 yards from us and at least once a day and usually more we would have a customer come in and say they needed a EGR valve put in because they were told that by the zone. This went on for two years, they must have gotten a kick back for their vendor on those things.

He never mentioned that when I decided to leave, if that were true I would have stayed. Its ambiguous for shops to have that option --my opinion! Other shops in the area especially one that I know charges hella buck to fix stuff ( they do have great mechanics and technicians though the owner is cool too), but they only charge $20-25 to tell you whats wrong for the inspection.

Yea im not one of those guys who goes to autozone and goes of the sheet printed out. Anywayyzz I'm really loving this exhaust by MCR, even though it will set someone back $6K! I still like the Amuse better!

What's a turn buckle?

Yes, I believe it's the same spot.

If its the same spot then it can be just ground down some since its only one there for production reasons. It serves no purpose once installed, its a release point for the mold. We can meet up if ya want and dbl check and make sure we are talking about the same spot. LMK

A turn buckle
http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/c....aspx?a=215817

Exact same thing I used, they come in all different sizes and run about $3-$6 and are and excellent way to center or pull an exhaust a little. I can show ya how mine is installed as well, ive used them on my G35, MR2 and RX-7 in the past.
