SNOW SNOW SNOW...
Well fellow Z-Drivers... That dreaded time of the year is here again in Wisconsin. I woke up this morning at 5:45 and notice the it was especially white and bright outside before the sun even managed to touch the horizon. It was only after I took a glance outside that I managed to find out that the brightness and whiteness was NOT my Z shimmering to spectators in the parkinglot (not possible because it was already at home in the garage), but it was the light reflecting off the snow-falls falling unto Whitewater, WI. Anyone - Any place have met the same luck yet?

Gotta love it.

Ahh, the first few snow days of the season. Where every knucklehead has to re-learn how to drive on snow. Be careful out there folks. Trust no one.
We've had about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. I went out to lunch and the bonehead in front of me was struggling with his G35S sedan. I could hear him revving too high before letting out the clutch so naturally his rear tire just spun in the muck. Time to park it buddy.
I grew up in Chicago. I had a few Z31's back in the day and I drove them year round with all seasons. We Chicagoans were raised on rear wheel drive cars and winter driving. Now a days, some folks can't seem to handle 4WD SUVs or FWD cars in the snow. What happened to the latest generation?

I hear and know EXACTLY what you're saying Phreakdout! Last season when I first got my Z, I did the whole winter with Summer Max Performance tires! haha. Ofcourse I fishtailed a few times but I was still able to survive the winter.. This season though, I have decided that I don't want my Z to go through anymore snow and salt.. So I parked it for the winter. Time to stick with the Camery..

After just getting my Z (and first RWD car), I'll probably park it once the snow gets too bad and go back to my Grand Prix, but it hasn't been too horrible in NW Ohio so far thank god.

This holiday weekend, I will fire up the propane torpedo heater in the garage and hand wash the car for the last time this season. Then I will do the same as Steve.
It's not that I can't drive in snow, but my front end paint is beat up enough. The sand, salt and ice chips are hell on the paint. Now I switch to the RX-8 for winter. It did great last winter. The wife gets the Jeep.

Phreakdout, you're funny man.. Using the Rotary engine for winter :-p I used to do that until I made the mistake of flooding the engine by "moving my car" one morning, hahaha.

OEM 17's with Dunlop Wintersports. I'm not sure how much lower than stock because I never measured the stock height and I have had a few setups. Tein flex with 24.75" from fender to ground front and 25.75" in the rear.

I must say, Z's look damn good in the snow (imo everywhere else too). But not for me, I'm doing the brakes on my oldsmobile intrigue and getting that thing on the road.

Well, I'm officially storing the Z for the winter. Tomorrow, we call the insurance agent and take the insurance off the Z. (So long as we keep it in our attached garage, the Z is covered by homeowner's insurance.) That saves over $100 per month. I'll probably put it back on in March or April.

Yeah
Puttig the winter wheels and tires on the G tonight
Kitty litter is in the back the car should be a tank compared to the Z.
Took it out last night in 3+ inches with the Potenza's with really no problems...
Can't wait to see once the Blizzaks are on
