I am all set to go. I do have a party to go to in the evening at 7 in Novi. So I guess I would have to leave around 5 to get back to home, get ready and go to the party.

Post up the schedule so that I can plan ahead.

 

i'd love to make it - just have to make sure there are no definite plans the g/f has that day/evening. the weather is supposed to be gorgeous - solid sun and low 70s.

besides - i need to be around some people who can appreciate the 16+ hours i've put in (from noon-10:30pm sunday, then a couple hours each night since then) with elbow grease getting my paint back to something respectable. everyone around here thinks i have extreme OCD, lol.

 

Scott, we can have you back in time for your evening date with the GF. This will be an afternoon thing.

 

OK, Here's the master plan.

Meeting Location is a park located under the M14 bridge at Barton Road. This is on the North Side of Downtown Ann Arbor.

For those coming from the North:
- Take M14 West to where it merges with US23 North. US23 will split going North and you want to follow M14 West (left lane).
- After the merge, get in the right lane and take the first exit (Barton Road). At the stop sign, you will see the enterance to the park on your left across the street.

For those coming from Ann Arbor:
- Take Main Street North and get on M14.(Headed East)
- Take the immediate exit on your right (like 500 feet from the merge onto M14) This is Barton Road.
- Hang a right at the stop sign and left into the park's parking lot. Meet up there.



The route:
From Ann Arbor:
Huron River Road to North Territorial Road to Dexter-Pinckney. From there we take a left at a house with a white picket fence and literally "go to Hell."



Meeting time at the parking lot: 1:00pm to 1:30pm

Leave for Hell at 1:30pm. (About a 30 minute drive.) Call me if you think you'll be a little late or you're lost. (2483611844)

Make a few loops around the area and hit Zukey Lake Tavern by 3:30 to 4:00pm. We can hang there on their roof top restaurant / bar over looking the lake. Leave by 5:30 or 6pm at the latest.

Be sure to bring your cameras. We will stop in Hell, MI at the I-Scream Shop. (Ice Cream / Halloween Shop) It always has some crazy halloween decorations year round.

So finish up what ever weekend chores you have and make Saturday afternoon available. First round of beer (or whatever) at Zukey Lake is on me.

 

lol brian - she lives with me brotha, and weekend days are just as fair game as nights. maybe more, as i tend to get last minute 'oh, my cousin is having a birthday party we need to be at. i told you, didn't i??' heh.

anyhow, the schedule is clear. count me in - i'll be there.

 

Damn that sucks, i sell my Z and theres finnaly a meet close by monroe. damn

I did the run again with the local RX8 guys. Sorry for so many pics, I just copied an RX8club.com post I did a couple years ago.

Who could ever guess we'd have RX-8s show up in all different colors? It was really awesome seeing these five rotaries come ripping through the twisties and roll through Hell, Michigan.

We kept the meet to 3 hours so we could all enjoy the weekend. This was a great crew. We'll be back together again. Hopefully we can pull in a few more members! Just drop in.

You could still be out there by 3pm or so. Instead of following the route above, short cut it by taking 96W to 23S and exit on North Territorial Road. Head West and turn right on Pinkney-Dexter road and left at the sign pointing to Hell.

Just meet us at the Screams Ice Cream shop. The route is essentially a loop in the area. We will keep passing that spot. You could still make a few loops and join us at Zukey Lake Tavern for a couple cold ones. Then you can follow the route back to Ann Arbor or break off down North Territorial Road to 23 and back home.

Just give me a call to let me know you're in the area. I was really hoping to see your 370Z and Lee's 370 in the same picture.
