Default New to Boston - Best Insurance?

Hey, I moved to Cambridge from NYC to study at college , and I was recommended by a family friend that Boston insurance will probably be lower than my NYC insurance. I'm thinking about finding a good quote; any ideas where I should start looking around? I'll have the insurance registered to my college address and I'll probably change my plates and registration to MA.

By the way, I'm 20 (been driving for 1 year) with no tickets. My parents don't have their own insurance policy, so I need to find a good replacement. I know being a young driver with a coupe won't be supported by many insurance agencies, but any recommendations on a good company (who won't give me the run around if I ever get my car in a serious accident) would be great.

PM me and ill hook you up with the name and number of the Agent I go through, family friend, legit guy. He'll be pretty straight forward with ya with the price. No matter what being a male, under the age of 26, and a sport coupe. Your going to get porked. Im at around 2200 every 9months, which is pretty good.

Whatever you do stay away from Commerce.

My agent is in Burlington,MA, not to far from Cambridge.. maybe 15mins.

I have Commerce - what you'll find is insurance rates are regulated by the commonwealth of MA so your rates will be +- 5% wherever you look. You'll be looking at paying $2000-2500/year for good coverage and make sure you get the 5% AAA discount, it's worth it.

Once you hit 23, it'll drop down about 30%, but that's a long ways away. Nice wheels, btw.
