hey, im going to english town with a bunch of friends on SUNDAY.(Rx8,civic typeR,evo,and reg civic) Its a 29th Annual Fall Englishtown Swap Meet & Auto Show and i just want to know if anyone else is going. Should be a fun and interesting day to see other Z;s/hopefully.

 

nevermind, sun. event is stock muscle cars or something like that. We and my buddies are goin to Atco Raceway instead. It's an import showdown! oh ye!

 

You said ya'll are going to Atco Raceway instead. So where is that located and from what times?

 

Take NJ Turnpike to Exit 7, Rt. 206. Take 206 south 15 miles to the Red Lion Circle, after the circle turn right at 2nd traffic light. Go to the 2nd street (Oakshade Road) and turn left. Go 6 miles to track.

gate open at 9am and closing till night..

 

Atco is right by my house, i can hear the cars rip down the strip on clear nights, i would stop by but my car is in the body shop...

 

Damn!!! Didnt get to go to Atco Raceway... My friends civic broke down by exit 9 and the place was at exit 7! Atco Raceway was 25 mins from exit 7... His alternator belt broke while trying to catch up to my Z, friend TypeR civic, and integra GSR. His car has 99 single head motor and a really slow...We got his car towed to nearest gasoline station which costed $60. We Bought alternator belt and tools from Pep Boys and tried installing it but no luck... The belt was $12 and tools were $25. We tried installing it but we didnt have the right size tools to get around the motor. So we had to tow it again to pep boys which costed another $40. pep boys charged $50 for labor! cause we bought the belt already.. Once the belt was installed, those F*ckers didnt want to boost the car so the car would turn on.. They sed to use a friends jumping cables! The manager was a real jerk! Once we jumped the car, the car still wouldnt turn on.. The people at Pep Boys didnt want to help us and said that all their technician left for the day and that we had to leave the car till the following morning. We were very dissapointed and we jus tried to figure out the car;s problems so we can actually head over to Atco Raceway. We changed the Spark Plugs cause they were pretty burnt up that costed another $8 but still, the car wouldnt start. We bought oil cause he was a lil low on oil/another $7. After 3 hours of unsuccessful work, my friend descides to jus tow it back to bergenfield cause he didnt feel safe leaving the car there due to the fact that someone my strip his car and steal it. His car might have a ****ty motor but the work he spent outside and inside of car is jus unbelievable. Towing it back to bergenfield/an hour or so away costed $250!. Ouch!

$12 Alternator belt
$25 tools
$40 tow to Pep Boys
$50 Pep Boys Labor
$8 NGK Spark Plugs
$7 2 bottle oil
$250 tow back to Bergenfield
=$452.00 ! Wow!

 

To make up a ruined day, my friends and i are going to English town Racewat on Sunday Oct. 2. Their having a 7th Annual NHRA Sport Compact Fallnationals. Heads Up & Bracket style Drag Racing,Import & Low Rider Car, Truck and Bike Show. Car Stereo Sound Challenge. Bikini & Hydraulics Contest. Open 9AM.
