Ok, the easiest way for u since you seem like u have never been to NYC is to take a shuttle bus directly to penn station in Manhattan where the path train station is. After u pick ur lugage up, u will go outside where the taxi stands are. There is always somebody standing around selling shuttle bus tickets to various locations in NYC. I believe they have a penn station stop and are around $24. You will go down into penn station and purchase the right ticket. If you take a taxi into NYC, it is a $45.00 flat rate. Not less not more. One advice for you buddy, New Yorkers are not too friendly as you will notice. There are alot of people who want to make that extra buck so don't be fooled ok. There is a stop in Newark/South Orange area. I hope u have someone thats gonna pick u up or something. Visiting Rutgers???? anyway goodluck man. Any questions just pm me

About the path train and New York penn station..I don't think that path goes to NY penn station. I'm pretty sure the 2 main stops are NEWARK penn station and the world trade center(NYC).

NJTransit runs into NYC penn station.

This is what I remember though..don't take my word for it just yet.

The Path Train stop is the 33rd St stop you have to fish your way underground to get there or take a cab to it for the 45 bucks.. I would take car service.. A lot easier..

Thats gonna be fun. Thats a bus to Manhattan, then the Path to either Hoboken or Newark-Penn, then another train to get to wherever else your going.
