I was walking up the stairs to put my knife back in my room. I had the knife at my side pointed down with a loose grip. Well I accidentally dropped it and the point was going straight for the wooden floor. I tried to grab it by the handle as it was falling so it didn't bounce and hit my foot. Mind you this is a 12" double edge knife. However the point hit the floor first, it bounced, handle down point up and as I grabbed at it the point went right through the webbing between my thumb and index finger. The cut is just shy of 1" wide and deep. Blood immediately everywhere. Looked like a crime scene. I could actually look in and see the muscle deeper down. This obviously resulted in me going to the ER at 10pm and I got back around 1am. 4 stitches. Not too bad. So there is the highlite of my weekend. How was yours?
