The West Virginia football team today accepted an invitation to play in the Gator Bowl for the third time in four years.
Number 13 West Virginia will face Georgia Tech on January First
in Jacksonville, Florida.

The Mountaineers earned the bowl berth by beating Rutgers
41-to-39 in triple overtime last night. Georgia Tech lost to Wake
Forest 9-to-6 in the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game in
Jacksonville.
West Virginia coach Rich Rodriguez says his team is excited
about returning to the Gator Bowl.
The Mountaineers have lost all five of their Gator Bowl
appearances. They fell to Florida State following the 2004 season
and to Maryland the year before.
