where to fx curb rash?
There is no one better, I repeat, there is no one better than Dunn Auto Sport.
Dunn Auto Sport is located on Boston Road in the Bx near corner street.
I am not sure where you are comming from but you can take the 95 North to the exit "corner street".
- Make a left at light
- Make a left at next light on to corner street
- Then make a left on Boston Rd right by the mobile gas station
- Go down a block or two and on your right hand side next to a small Check Cash 'n spot is Dunn Auto Sport. They have a picture of a bent rim as a billboard.
Don't get alarmed by the littleness of the shop b/c they have large trailers in the back where they machine the rims to a polish.
I have also heard advertisement shockingly on the Funk Master Flex show bigging them up. They have been around for years.
I recently got 4 new tires which they sell falkens and he was able to paint my rims and machine my rim edges to a shinny cut. The rims looks like stock with the added shinny edge sperating you a little from the pack. Since I had new tires bought at 680, he only charged 120 for all four rims.
I believe he charges 3 something for all four and I am not sure how much for just one rim but he does great work.
You can let him know that he did work on a buddy of yours who has a 35th Anniversary Silverstone 2005 Z and I am damn sure he will remember me from a month ago and that I recommended him to you and see if he hooks you up.
I am pretty sure you will be happy with the results.
Fyi: I did work with him twice in two seperate years where he did a touch up job the first time. I was not impressed with the 50-70 bucks I think I paid. Make sure you let him know you DO NOT want the touch up job and that you want the whole rim done to look like stock.
I speculate to fix one little scratch the whole rim needs to be painted and done to look just like stock. If you just try to paint the section and blend then I wont vouch for you liking the job.
But I will if he does the whole rim. Also in writing this it came to me to think that if he does one rim with the shinny machined edge looking hot he would have to do all of them to match. I am not sure how he paints to a smooth edge to match stock then again i am not sure which rims you have.
Bbtw he also does aftermarket rims, chrome, etc.
Hoped this help and my apologies for this being so long.
