Lambda Chi Alpha Benefit Car Show 4/27/03
When: Sunday, April 27th
Where: University of Rhode Island
Ryan Center Parking Lot
When: Registration from 10-12
Show from 12-5?
Directions:
From the North:
Take 95 South
Take the Left Hand exit #9 to Route 4
Take Route 4 all the way down till you reach Route 1
A few miles down the road, you will see the Route 1 and 138 Intersection
At that light, take a right on to 138 West (You will see a sign for URI)
After 3.5 Miles take your first right AFTER the first light onto Old North Road
Take this until you see Flag Road on your left
Take Flag Road until the end, at the end take a left
Take your first right at the stop sign, and you will see the parking lot immediately on your right!
From the South:
Take 95 North
Take the Right Hand exit #3A (You will see signs for URI)
That exit brings you on to 138
Take that road for a while, eventually you will see signs for URI
At the light intersection of 138 and Plains Road, take a left
After a hard right turn in the road, you will see the parking lot on the left!
Since this is a Benefit Car Show, all the profits will be donated to a child in need of money suffering from large hospital bills in Pediatric Care in Providence, RI.
There will be money off registration costs if you bring a can good!

Info for the show
Yesterday there was a benefit SLAPshow held at The University of Rhode Island. The show was hosted by Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. The show was held to help promote the Rhode Island Food Bank and a young boy from near by Conn. who is suffering from cancer. Many competitors brought canned goods for the food drive and gave donations to the fund. The weather was cloudy all morning but then broke out with close to 80 degree weather. There was over 65 competitors who walked away with 71 trophies in our 3 SLAPshow formats. Also SLAPshow North East also made a donation to the fund to help out the young boy stricken by cancer. Lambda Chi Alpha was very happy with the event and said that they can not wait till next year! So thanks to all of my judges and staff( Mike, Wayne, John, Jon, John, Todd,Kevan,Shorty and Greg), the competitors and hundreds of spectators who had fun and gave of themselves.
