Default NY Inspection

hey guys, i have test pipes on my car and recently registered my car in NY. I have a few days left to get my inspection and im hoping to find a place that will pass me with my test pipes. I am hearing you guys say that you can take it to a gas station and they will do it and whatever... yet ive been calling a few places around the manhattan/flushing area and they all seem to be having a heart attack about the fact that I dont have my cats on my car. If anyone could list some places that are definetly sure that they will pass you would be great. And address/Name/phone number would be awesome and great... really dont want to have to swithc out my test pipes.... BIGGEST pain in the *** in the world... lol thx for any help

yah... worst case scenario is for me to end up having to remove them... but i am sure with all the crazy Z's in NY there has to be a few locations that people know to go and get their inspection worries taken care of. I REALLY dont wanna have to put them back on... lol

Maybe it's not a great idea doing this publicly. I'd keep it to PMs. It is illegal for someone to pass a car that shouldn't.

I didn't mean to see rash, just saying for the sake of wherever people are going to get fined and cut off the service. They'll get hit hard from the state. Keep shady gas stations alive by doing just that; keeping them shady!

Do you have CEL? Most shop just plugged in to your ODBII and if all the test are done and no CEL then you pass...

If you dont have a CEL you will be fine. Go to shell or something. They just plug it into the ECU and pass you. Thats what they did to mine and I also have testpipes and passed just fine

Or get it inspected early. Pay the 20 bucks and get it inspected BEFORE you start touching the exhaust.
