Not really. If I let the brick go, the damn thing starts bouncing up and down from the weight of the camera, which make things even worse. That's why I supported it with my hand. The problem was that I used 2 second exposures. I usually limit them to 1 - 1.5 sec max, but figured I would try something longer for better smear.... bad choice.
