Official Snow Sucks Thread
My Z is covered in salt and other such winter grime... I'm stuck driving around on snow tires... But it's all worth it when I get to drive around in the snow. I think that RWD + snow = fun at slow speeds. When else can you fishtail around corners and spin the tires without shortening their life or getting pulled over?
so i drove my Z out on thursday night, not knowing that it was going to snow 2+ inches in a couple of hours. scariest drive home ever but almost a fun challenge. i think i learned more about oversteering that night than in my entire driving lifetime. it was awesome in a $hit your pants kinda way.
i now love getting sideways.

More on the way today/tonight....sounds like its more rain than snow closer to boston (thank god)
I think we are through the worst of it. (**crossing fingers and knocking on wood**)

We got rain for this last band of weather. It snowed for about an hour but nothing stuck because the roads were already wet. The other night though when the scattered storms came through we got about 4" in about 3 hrs, that was pretty crazy. 10 miles away there was NOTHING.
Something kinda funny from this weekend. I was up at Southern New Hampshire University for Friday night, and parked my car in a lot I guess I wasn't supposed to, so I got woken up because they were gonna tow it. It hadn't been on for about 8 hours and the idle was above 2k rpms. I didn't wait for it to warm up and put it in gear. Well even without giving it any gas the tires would just spin because of the layer of ice/snow on the ground. Too much power at that Idle speed.
Also took about 20 minutes to get out of a parking spot earlier that day. Some kid stopped to help cuz he had Ice Melt. And to check out the car.

Well not to be a dick but I think (or at least hope) that things are starting to look up here in southeast PA. 45 degrees and sunny today, supposed to be in the 50's tomorrow and sunny. Maybe we'll get an early spring afterall. But I'll probably keep my snow tires on until mid-late March regardless, just to be sure that the snow and ice are done and that the roads have had a chance to clean up a bit.
