Im noticing theres not too many CT area meets goin on anytime soon an im wondering if anybody would be interested in another cover beach meet/bbq. The first two had a good turn out an OCC was pretty good, now that summers here i dont see why it should slow down. If you guys are with it lets make it happen, between my350z, g35 driver an my buddies at Ct subie im sure we could have a good turn out.

Berlin Turnpike area sounds good to me. Im def in as long as we can have it in the middle for everyone.

 

yeah thats a better idea it is so far down there, but cove beach was nice because of the time to cruise there, so maybe we could have it in the middle for everyone and then incorporate an afternoon cruise or something?

 

We should have a mid day BBQ, and a cruise somewhere cool to take pics. Cove Beach is far for those coming from Mass, as I used to drive down from there for the meets. Any suggestions? Everyone bring something, soda, dogs, burgers, etc. Many of our cars are looking amazing from years past and I know a bunch have great cameras for cool shots. We should all hang out far more then we do as a group, everything seems to have fallen off ....

 

Let's do it, this weekend is too soon and it's the holiday, maybe the weekend after that? Sunday the 12th maybe? Maybe go ahead and take the reigns on this and create a new thread, people know you around here. Even if we don't get a huge turn out it will still be something to do, nothing is planned from now till the mountain run.

I was looking for parks that would be cool to meet at and BBQ around the lower center of the state where 84 and 91 cross, so those from ny and nj wouldn't be too far away as well. Meriden is a pretty big city and they have a lot of parks, I searched up hubbard park it says its 1800 acres with ponds and a castle, could be cool

Anyone have any other ideas or know of some cool places? I think we should go ahead on this, even if we get like 10-15 cars its still a good day and some dogs and burgers

 

Middle of Ct works for me, Cove is def a drive for me also. Hubbard park is not a bad idea. If we met at hooters on the Berlin Turnpike for 11:30am or so Hubbard is roughly 10-15min away. The castle closes at sunset so that leaves plenty of time to chill/eat and cruise up to the castle, plus I can think of acouple spots there to take pics.

If not im up for anything, whatever works for everybody.

 

nice, I was just throwing that out there I've never been I would have checked it out if it got more serious interest. So do you think that spot is accomodating? Does it have a good amount of parking for our cars? Is it paved and suitable for lowered cars? Sorry for putting you on the spot I've just never been

I've Been there plenty of times, im about 10min away its a cruise i normally take wit the gf when bored. Its all paved and with my car (-2inches w/ amuse front) i've never scraped. Theres 1 main parking lot plus side of the road parking goin around the pond. Theres a 2min ride up the mountain to get to the castle an the road is along side a reservoir which makes for cool pics. If you guys want to jus check it out first before setting a date i wouldn't mind showing you guys around.
