Default DUI's in NJ?

First off, I did not get one!

One of my friends got a DUI in NJ and his date keeps getting adjourned. He has to travel daily for his job by car...is there any way he could keep his licence? Does NJ have mandatory minimums?

I have been thinking about it and don't see him walking away from this without loosing his license. Can anyone shed some light on this?

NY has restricted licenses. See if NJ has the same. Only allows you to drive to and from work. Other then that he better have a damn good lawyer.

Unless he killed someone or it was an injury related DUI arrest he can ask the judge/court for a work-allowance driver license...most states have that provision.

nobody was hurt or killed.

The only way he can really survive here is if he gets off the hook totally...no mention of DUI in the record. His company will take away the company car when they find out (normally 6-12 months).
