me and a friend are trying to put together a little meet/photoshoot at the no longer in use airport. not sure how many cars will show up but if anyone is free sunday drop by. we would meet at applebees in riverhead map you just take the LIE straight all the way down when it ends you will be by tanger on your right and a hotel on the left keep going until the lights at wich point you should see applebees, take a left at those lights then right into the parking lot. lets try to get there around 5:50-6pm then would wait there another 20-30min and leave to the airport around 6:20pm. chat a little take some pics should be fun. here is a link of a cupple unedit's my friend took click here there are much better spots then those also just wanted to try something new. the runway pics come out decent, or another place with steel beams and crap looks really good. so anyone intrested just post somehting to know what to expect. sorry this is such short notice forgot to post on here.

Ahh, yes. Calverton Airport. Only one side of it is abandoned, the other side is used by Skydive Long Island. Don't mess around their too much, cops like that place and use it as bait for people like us who like to visit it with our cars.

 

probly wont hit the airstrip tomorrow, just a cupple diffrent locations

 

pics are a lil dark..but overall pretty good..need to do a lil more editing i think..not a bad location for a meet...has potential for great pix...and plenty of room for plenty of cars...
