I live on a street in Philly where they don't plow or salt.

My street has not been clear since the first snowfall in the NE. I have only put about 1,000 miles on it since August.

Why do it if you can afford a beater!? Yea it sucks not driving it in the winter and seeing it covered under dust or some peoples cases snow but hey we all knew what all New Englanders knew what they were getting themselves into, unless of course you thought you were moving to FL....

Trust me i know it is a PITA to upkeep but i truly enjoy driving and the extra maintainance is fine by me. I did'nt work so hard to pay for my Z to have it sit 6 months out off the year because its cold. Once the snow is plowed my Z is back on the road.. I see what your saying on the DD. I had an IS300 beater for the winter months and used to think the same thing. What a waste that was..I went through the whole save the Z from the ice, snow, salt blah blah blah. That did'nt last too long. I guess im not **** about my Z anymore its 3 years old already . I've spent thousands on MODS as well. Something breaks fix it move on...

Read what I wrote. The roads are okay depending on where you go. But I also have an alleyway that is iced over.

Sucks about the alleyway . As far as "roads" go its all clear wherever you go. Until tomorrow that is 10 more inches again

I have a daily driver beside my z which I don't drive alot during winter times. I'm about to get a cover for it to protect against the snow an all.

I live in ELizabeth PA, about 35 mins south of pittsburgh, it sucks, but when you're use to driving in it every year, you're just use to it... I'm close enough to where I work I can grab a ride with someone (i did today even though it wasn't snowing this morning it's coming down now...)

I could get a beater but i dont mind the extra maintenence to have it as a daily driver, and regardless of having a beater or not, you're still maintaining something in the winter, the money all goes somewhere lol.
