Calling out New York, fishing for information!
Hey all, I usually frequent the g35driver forum, but a good buddy of mine is looking at getting a 350z, annnnd the stealership is being shady as ****. This 08 350z, in white, came from New York, and this vehicle hit a tree in 2008. They will not provide in writing that this vehicle has not been written off, but they do have a CARFAX report stating that it is structurally sound. I call ********, knowing the right people and having enough flow, you don't need to report anything.. I'm hoping that someone out there, would have some insight on this car. It was just recently imported into Canada, and it makes no sense, as it's an 08 with 12000 miles, and it's selling for 23000.. The reason I'm calling them out as shady, is because my friend works at a very reputable shop in our city, and they refuse to let us take it to get a second opinion on it. They called our #1 Safety inspection shop a CHOP SHOP hahaha.. Let me know if any of you New Yorkers have any idea about this car!!!!

If it's 10K less than you expect, then it was likely totalled/salvaged. That should show on a CARFAX so run one yourself and don;t go by what a seller is telling you.
If they refuse to let you inspect it, the answer should be obvious - run away as fast as you can. Any seller who tries to hide the condition has a reason for hiding it. They're not willing to take $10K less than it's valued just to be nice guys, they know what it's really worth.
BTW - people are more likely to recognize a picture of said vehicle, not a VIN number.

I ran the carfax and the dealer wasn't even honest about where it came from. It hit a tree in NY, but it originally came from Avenel, NJ, from Sansone Automall. Thing is, I got lucky with my G35, so hopefully the horseshoe hasn't plopped out of my *** yet.. Haha. I guess this idea is squashed. Here's the link anyhow.
