People Familiar with the NORWALK, CT area...I need Help
So a quick run down of my situation. I just recently picked up a great job in Stamford, CT. My commute is currently over an hour so I've been looking for a place down here. I'm really excited because I always wanted to join the cove meets and stuff but was always too far away.
Finding a place has been really sh!tty to say the least. I'm new to the area so I don't have anyone who wants to room or anything like that. I've been using Craigslist and stuff.
My dilemma...I found an awesome apartment to share with one other professional in Norwalk. Its in SONO that is 5 mins away from the train station. Being on Laura ave, the area seems shady and people at work tell me to look elsewhere. The landlord needs a decision by the latest Sunday probably. There is off street parking and I have a Winter car I can use...I would probably leave the Z back home
I don't need anything to be stolen.
Am I overthinking this? Should I just suck it up and take the place for 6 months? Like I said the apartment is new...relatively cheap and great...just the area seems off so I'd like to get some opinions from my forum peeps. Hope to hear back some feed back.
Thanks!
Demitri

I live in Norwalk but no where near SONO...lol. SONO is not the best part of Norwalk but if you like to live near the bars and clubs then it may work out for you. Also, if the price is right and the apartment is in good condition then go for it.
Did you look in Stamford? A little more expensive but the location may be better.
Good luck.
