Haven't seen any robbins yet flying around but the days are getting longer and the weather is starting to get nicer. So with some poking around on the forums I decided that we need our opening meet, and we need it soon. So here's what's going on in the month of April

*No thread has been started on this yet, but we have in the past made a good appearance at this show (about 15 of us have shown in the past). Now this is the rain date for the Mtn Run, so their may not be any interest in this at all if it rains on the 14th.

NEW DATE IS APRIL 29TH DUE TO RAIN ON THE 22ND Opening Meet

Where: Sage Park [1591 Berlin Tpke, Berlin, CT 06037]
Time: 1pm
*I've invited the BMW crew as they came last year and they were a great group of car enthusiasts (about half a dozen showed last year).
*The Subie group has a weekly meet in Manchester and they have invited us in the past to make any of their meets, so it's only fair to invite them as well.
*Their is also interest in the B15U group as well to join in as well
Rules: Don't be a jerk, respect the area (aka no burnouts, no loud music to attract attention). We've had quite a few meets here and never had any issues, so let's keep it that way

So the plan for this is we can either make this into a BBQ or we shoot up to Hooters for some food (Manchester). We've done this in the past so that we can all get a little cruise together.

I will be at the UCONN and CCSU shows. I cannot make the opening meet since I have a Honda meet that day

I'm sure all of Connecticut Nissan Club will want to attend. Were not just B15's We've got a few Altima's and the club is open to the entire Nissan family. Vinyls are being produced this week.

Philli, how many people are you expecting to show with your group?

The subies will be there! At least 3 of us, but could get that number up pretty easy by inviting some more people.

So far it's me + 4 and 3 maybes. 2 Altimas/3 Sentras.

 

Is there a proposed location for a meet/cruise to the uconn show? I know its the mountain run rain date but lets say everything goes smooth on the 14th. Are you still looking at the Berlin Turnpike?

 

I'll get something up within the next week or so as far as times blah blah blah for the UConn show... In the past our "final" meet spot was @ the CVS before UConn. Problem with this location is that it's super awkward to roll out of (light's weird abrupt turn onto the road). I propose that we meet @ Cardio Express that's one route 195, which is right off the UConn exit on 84

As for the opening meet, I typically meet up with Omega @ Buckland (Macys parking lot) and i'm thinkin we can leave there by 12:15p. I'm thinking thats a good location for north of Hartford people. South of Hartford, will also need a location for a meet location (throw our some suggestions). If people don't want to meet at a location and ride in together to Berlin, then every man / woman for themselves.
