"Well they finally did it...
They killed my F*cking car".... (to quote the Big Lebowski)
Though I havent posted much the last 3-4 years I felt it necessary. After a decade of owning my Z (and 10k posts here and Zcar.com) it's finally dead. Was parked in a lot in Jersey City on Monday night and Sandy got the better of it. The waterline was the rear view mirror so it was almost completely submerged. Geico will be junking VIN 189 in the next day or two. So, here ends the Z chapter of my life (for the time being) and I wish you all better luck than mine. Cheers -driven

Ouch sorry to see that. I was very fortunate that we had no damage on my property. I hope insurance doesn't screw you and you can happily move on. Good luck with the replacement!

going to go without a car for a while since I dont need it to commute. Will be reassessing my car situation when spring rolls around.
There were atleast 100 other cars in the same lot that are all junked now. A brand new 5 and 6 series were a few spots away.

Thanks everyone...to further the story, i just found out today that the attendant at the lot had to climb on top of a car and then jump to the roof of the attendants shed(just a small trailer type office) when the water came up. He was stuck there for 6 hours monday night!
so not feeling to bad about the car, it's just a car. though that attendant is the same guy who told me on Monday afternoon not to worry about my car because the lot wouldn't flood, ha. karma? j/k
