New Hampshire car inspection
Can anyone please tell me how strict NH is with visual inspections of catalytic converters? I have a bad CAT on my 07 Enthusiast, with 47k miles. I have purchased Motordyne ART pipes and a Motordyne XYZ pipe (and getting an Uprev tune at RDZ Motorsports or Synaptic3) to go with my Nismo exhaust and CAI . My inspection month is December. Will I be alright with the ART pipes as long as the car doesn't throw any codes?
I have an OBDII reader. If I get the car inspected with the bad CAT, will I be alright just clearing the computer prior to the inspection? The check engine light comes on about 40-50 miles from being cleared.
Thanks for any info you have.

Sauer, New Hampshire is one of those States that does a safety inspection at the same time as the emission check. One item that is always checked is the exhaust system, so ‘no-cats’ would be apparent. I believe if you just clear the code it will still be readable on the ecu. (Or, check with Grovefromnh for his hook-up)
If you’re sure about the bad catalytic converter, it could be replaced under warranty. Federal legislation mandates all manufactures to warranty cats for 8 years or 80,000 miles on any of their cars, new, used, or even stolen. Call a Nissan dealer to see about their requirements, but don’t take No for an answer, you have the might of Uncle Sam on your side.

Thanks for the replies. I looked into the federal law that Jennifer was talking about and saw that I was entitled to a cat under warranty. The law also states that the dealer isn't allowed to charge for diagnosing the cat within the first 8 years/80k miles, which they did charge for. The dealer also charged for some kind of engine cleaning procedure which was supposed to help with the cat.
The dealer that diagnosed the catalytic converter issue (Berlin City) is over an hour away so I went to Concord Nissan. Concord Nissan has horrible reviews but I figured it didn't matter since I thought I was getting warranty work done. In the end they said that the cat was fine and that the issue was that Berlin City hadn't performed some kind of reset procedure after replacing an oxygen sensor this summer, however I know this isn't the problem because Berlin City showed me charts of the cat's abnormal airflow. I gave up a couple hundred dollars to Concord Nissan and they somehow managed to drive my Z 18 miles in a short time
(I honestly think they just wanted to drive it). I won't be able to test if the CEL comes back on because my car will be garaged until the spring, but I assume it will come back based on the lack of anything done by Concord Nissan. Even when it comes back on, I'm done with these dealerships. Berlin City, who I normally like, charged for the initial diagnosis even though prohibited under federal law; Concord Nissan was of little help and charged a lot, although the check engine light is off at the moment; and I've had bad experiences with the sales people at Team Nissan and Port City so I won't be going to either of them.
My car DID pass emissions with the so-called bad cats and with the CEL recently cleared, however I failed the safety part anyway because of my tinted windows. The place I went to last year passed it with the tint, so I'll have to try them again when the snow is done.
