I took a ride down to Captee early Sunday morning but I found out they moved it down to the old OBI. There were lots of real nice cars there, tons of vettes and vipers, custom hot rods a few porsches a few ferrari's (classic and new 360's), a bunch of old muscle cars. A brand new GTO showed up but i was dissapointed it was so plain even the grand prix looks sportier. There was even a ridiculous jaguar with wheelie bars and a 'chute. A couple Z's and a G were there and I actually fielded a lot of questions about the Z from a lot of the other car owners there, it was kinda flattering because there were some serious cars there. I got there at like 9:00 and stayed till about 11:00 when it was packed and a few people who watched fast and the furious too many times showed up. An orange eclipse with the big hang glider wing showed and started revving his fart can muffler and kinda killed the mood. A cop rolled through but was real cool with everyone and he was checkin out some of the cars and offered to let one guy drive the police car if he could drive his vette. I think he was kidding. Anyway if the weather is nice i think i'll do it again next week if anyone is interested.

Where exactly is this thing? Is it a regular event?

 

it's in the old OBI parking lot on the south side of Ocean Parkway west of Robert Moses. They used to meet in Captree but now they charge to get in there because it's the summer. It's an informal regular event.
