Low Jack & area theft
Has anyone bought the Low Jack GPS sercurity system here in the Seattle area? I'm looking into it but I'm not sure if it has complete coverage in this area. I've head of a Honda dealership in the North end selling Low Jack for as low as $600. but the Nissan Dealership in Renton quoted me at $900.
Also, have people had much trouble with break-ins or theft of their Z's around Seattle?
I used to live on Capital Hill near the UW, and even though I had a cheap vehicle at the time people were always breaking into it. I would hear a car door at 1 am, look out the window and find people rifling through my truck. Once I called the police, and as soon as the dispatcher relayed the address information to the police car the theives ran away, as if they had a scanner and were listening in.
So now I'm paranoid about auto theft. I don't want to leave the Z in park & rides or anywhere like that.
My friends and family assert that I shouldn't be worried because there are plenty of cars parked all over the place that cost far more than a 350 Z, but the I just feel that the Z's attract far more attention than something like a Lexus SUV which just blends into a crowd of cars.
