Seattle Area Caravan to Mt. St. Helen's
Hey, the 2.5S engine isn't too bad -- for a four-cyl engine!
We rented one in CA (when I still had the Spec V). We had to get "on the gas" to get on the freeway one afternoon, and the power of the engine even in that big car still put a grin on my wife's face.

Yeah, funny that. They've still got the car. I was out of town yesterday, but I don't have an update. I think I'm going to drive down there this afternoon unannounced and figure out what is really going on. They told me they were having trouble with aftermarket parts. What I'm not clear on is whether they couldn't get the Borla off, or whether they are having trouble putting the JWT stuff on. I'm a little miffed that the original estimate for time was 4 hours of labor, and here it is 3+ days later.

Whew. Car got done, just picked it up. Clutch/flywheel combo is different, that's for sure. Engagement is right near the floor, and I stalled it twice right out of the gate. Clutch effort is lighter, but the shifter action itself feels heavier. That may be a function of the new parts in the tranny though. We'll see what a couple of hundred miles do to it tomorrow. Definately a little free-er in the rev department. Matched down shifts are much easier to accomplish than the were before.
See y'all tomorrow at 8am!

I just ordered the JWT clutch with a nismo throw out bearing. With any luck, I'll have the clutch/flyhweel on in the next week or two..then I can learn how to drive it all over again. Let me know how it goes with yours....
Does the car feel faster? It's supposed to anyhow.
I also just got the JWT clutch and flywheel put on, my bite point was also right down in the firewall but I got my guy to raise it so it's much better now ...
Don't forget to take it easy for the first 200-250 miles (that's what JW are recommending)
I was also really suprised by how light the peddle is now ..
