Thats actually true. Same thing with Ruston Way in Tacoma. But if you guys don't rev your engine and drive all fast, you will be ok. They are more worried about the street racers.....

Do not worry about the anti-cursine, it only if you are seen three or more times in a hour. But if you do not have a front license plate stay away from Alki as you'll probably will get ticketed. Comes from experience.

i dont think Alki Ave is such a good place to cruise... there's a volleyball tournament there + sunny day + weekend = lots of traffic... it'll be more of a lineup than a cruise for the Z's... what about a cruise east on I-90, then around Lake Sammamish? or down Burien Hwy then back up on I-5? or we can stick with HarbourAve-AlkiAve-BeachDr as planned...
Maybe instead of a cruise down Alki, we can all gather at the boat launch parking lot and snap some photos w/ the the Seattle skyline as background? It'd make for some really nice pics for this forum.
It's been my experience that there's really no place w/in 30 minutes of Seattle where a group like this can go cruise (ie: see JRO drive '05 thread). For this group of Z/G cars and drivers; cruising may be about as satisfying as standing still w/ the engine idleing (You guys know who you are... don't try and deny it!).
I like the idea of heading east, but I think we should head WAY east. Out to Northbend and places beyond. We'd also need to get everybody's agreement to behave ourselves until we see it fit to relax. But I'm cool w/ just a legal cruise to just about anywhere.

Maybe we should do a Poll. I'm thinking after the BBQ, we can head east on I-90, then up along East Lake Sammamish Pkwy, turn around and gather at Lake Sammamish State park for photoshoot...
Maybe we should head up to the University district and have a balloon fight with the local UW sorority girls haha.

P.S. Weather is suppose to be perfect on Saturday!

I'll be there with cookies, soda and some other snacks/sides. And my camera, of course.
I just moved here a few weeks ago from California, I'm voting to drive somewhere eastward, I haven't been out to Lake Sammamish yet, nor points further east.
Gotta go wash the car now.
