I'm all for that as long as we have a strong showing of Z/G's. It would be unfortunate if only several Z's show up w/ a pack of 50 Scoobies. I have to give credit to the NASIOC guys, they really have a strong sense of community.

+1

I went to a multi-forum meet put on by NWN (bmw, NASIOC, NWN) with my '03, and I was the only Z there! Of course this was when there weren't as many Z's on the road. lol.

My work is sending me all over the place, but if I'm in town when it happens I'll be there.

I went to a Z/G meet but I was the only Z there. On average I see 2-3 Zs a day. There are plenty of Zs out there. I dont think that many Z owners know about my350z, or, if they do, dont know about the NW Region forum. Z owners in Seattle don't share the same enthusiam as say, Miata owners in the 90s. I see lots of Zs and usually the drivers dont even wave/flash at your when they drive by. So I don't think there will be another Z meet for this yr.

I hear ya.. I got my first 350z earlier in 2003, and I would maybe see a Z a month if that... now with my 2006 I see a couple a day, I try to wave, but most of time I get no lovin' in return.

Gentlemen,

I totally agree w/ you. There seems to be something lacking in our community. I'm inclinde to think that is has something to do w/ our demographic, but the STi guys are the same as us. But when lurking on the RX-8 forums, and the Lancer forums, I see that we are still more cohesive than them. Again, a similar demographic.

So I guess.... the two points that I made just cancel each other out.

Seattle was "busy" when I lived in the Portland area and Portland was "dead." Now Portland is hopping and Seattle is "dead."

I don't think that it's me...

Default NW Z/G show of force.

I for one say since this is will probably be the last opportunity this year for us to come togther as enthusiasts, we should make our best effort to get ourselves organized, Z's and G's alike and make a specatcular showing at this multi-forum meet. I know I'm not alone in thinking that there should be a better sense of unity in our NW community. This would be an excellent opportunity for us to show our personal pride in the cars we drive. Seems that every so often we need to do this just so we can meet the people that we can relate to in more than just a automotive-enthusiast way.

I know we all know this; but what a great opportunity it would be for those of us that are into modifying our cars to be part of a huge Z/G turnout. The ideas we can share by seeing and experiencing what others have done to their cars in person. You have to admit, there are things that can't completely be conveyed in pictures and typed words when they're displayed on a forum. Whether it's style or performance your after; you get a much greater understand and appreciation for it once you see it first hand and get the opportunity to talk to the owner directly.

I'll be there. I'm hoping to see a lotta familiar faces (even though I suck at remembering names) and hopefully a lotta new ones. Heck... if the guys w/ trailer hitches offer to take turns towing my autoX trailer, maybe we can get one or even two grills up there. No better way of making friends w/ the other forum guys than having food to share once we get to our final destination.

The last Z turnout at WorldOne was pretty good.

I have two friends who have WRX's, and I am trying to get them to go with me to the October 1st event. (I'll drive my Z) In the meantime, I would be up for any informal meeting of Z's in the area.

If I'm not working on a Saturday, I'd be up for a drive if someone knows of good roads around here...I haven't had much time to explore and find decent driving roads yet.

Anyone have a day or place that works, or are people just planning on hitting up the Oct. 1st meet?

I think we're all gonna go to the Oct 1 meet. I think 8 Zs is a decent showing. In Cali you see 8 Z's at any one intersection, but here its an anomally.

Should we meet at 1 or 2 rally points before driving up to Cascade Mall so all the G's and Z's can roll in together? A caravan of G's and Z's is always a nice sight. Anyone from the G35Driver forum know how many G's plan to go at this point?

To the Mt. Baker cruise? So far 4, but there's usually a lot of people who show up to our meets that don't respond on the boards.

How about Northgate Mall parking lot (outside of JC Penny)? good rendez-vous point.

Tru-dat. A caravan of Z/Gs always look good. I think Ceresof/Stealthninja can organize the Gs to meet up with us.

Northgate Mall sounds like a good place; easy to find, right off I-5, big parking lot. We will be traveling pretty far north so as to not inconveniece the guys living in areas North of King county; does anyone have any other suggestions?

How about we pick up groups of Z\G's as we go farther up North? We get a groupd ready at Northgate, then we pick some up at Alderwood, then we can pick up people at the Outlet Stores up past Everett, etc. That way we can all travel in an ever growing number.

Another good rendez-vous point is the WALMART parking lot (at MillCreek). To get there you head North on I5 and exit (East) on 164th St SW. Basically its the first exit where 405 and I5 converge (near Alderwood). That way, guys in Bothel/Kirkland dont have to double back.

Also there's a coffee shop and place to gas up.

Excellent idea. I like it. Maybe 3 rendez-vous points along the way. The growing caravan seems like a cool idea. Rolling in w/ a dozen or more G/Z's would be sweet, definately a decent showing.

So should we say for now:
Northgate mall - Seattle
Alderwood mall - Lynwood
The Outlet mall - Mukilteo

Should we maybe pass on Alderwood and choose one more location further North?
