nissan dealerships portland - beaverton & gresham
Upto now I had a good experience with beaverton nissan.
They did a lot of stuff for me including axel warranty, stage 2 brake install...
However, you often don't feel like a customer there, you feel like you are at their mercy.
When they quoted me 800$ for a BBK install after taking almost a whole day to come up with that quote (and having the car there because it was an appointment), I decided to look elsewhere.
(asst. service managers that I remember fondly: david f. bob d. ...
asst. service managers that I try to forget
: robert w.)
I once forgot to take out a collection of quarters from the ash tray (about 5$), well after the service they were no longer there.
The top service manager gave me credit for 5$.
When I had to leave my BBK with them for a whole day and possibly even overnight, I was told that it is an "odd request" to ask for somekind of confirmation that they have the parts that I paid $$$$ for.
The asst. service manager said: "I can't give you confirmation, I don't know if the parts are in the car, I didn't look, what do you want from me.." kind of attitude.. sure as hell something you want to hear, in the event that your $$$$ parts should disappear.
I went to Gresham nissan and had a much better experience.
They gave me a quote on the phone right away. They stuck to the quote although it took them longer. They treated me nice and I paid around $550
And the guy who washed the car also cleaned the interior, vaccuumed, and all the bits

bob is the only guy you want to deal with. he is a straight shooter and will make sure you are happy. i took my car in to get the trans replaced, and david took my car to lunch, then home, and back to work the next day (and who knows where else) and broke my front bumper pulling up to close to a curb. i didn't see it till a few days after, which left me high and dry basically. pissed me off, as you sure as hell know you hit a curb hard enough to break the spoiler! so he is not on my trust list.
also, mixed reviews with gresham nissan. bob @ beaverton is the only person i deal with at all!

The problem with Beaverton Nissan is that they are one of the only dealerships in the NW with Nissan's dealership approval badge (or whatever you call it)...this tends to make them think they can get away with more than they should be able to.
I will honestly say that I've had no direct dealings with their service department and only their sales department so maybe I shouldn't have said anything earlier...
For what it is worth, the service department at Premier Nissan (Gladstone-McLaughlin) is top notch and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!!!

Bob Bohannon at Beaverton Nissan has been great to deal with. I told him I didn't want anybody to drive my car and there was NO REASON WHATSOEVER to road test it. His response: "That's cool".
He let me deliver it to the upholstery shop for the top replacement and had one of the courtesy van drivers deliver the new top to them. He didn't give me any crap about the axel replacement, window motor, etc. And he knows about my mods.....

I had the worst experience with beaverton nissan EVER. When i was looking at buying a 06 before I got my 07. I went there, I CALLED THEM told them I have 30k cash in my car in a bag, GET me the car (only 1 in a 3 state radius black/black 06 thats manual touring) was in oregon. They said they would have it, and I said im not driving from salem there unless you guys have it, get the car than call me.
They call me about 45mins later said they will have the car, I said WILL HAVE? OR have it? They told me they had it and to come on up. I get there, NO CAR, they cant get ahold of it and some other dealership is holding onto it and wont let it go.
Spend 45mins trying to convince me to buy some auto PPW 05, than trying ot get me to buy some 35th anniversary SS and than a AUDI TT. I was FURIOUS.
The head sales guy was cursing every other word and was acting in a very un-professional fashion.
I would NEVER Recommend anybody go there... EVER.
Oh and salem nissan is a F'ing JOKE, never going there again, I drive up to wilsonville when I need anything.
Wilsonville nissan is the best dealership I have ever been to, very professional and fair. There sales manager is awesome and there Service department guys are all real real cool. :-)

Yeah, I've tried several service departments as well. I started at Gladstone, but my Service writer left when Premiere bought them. His replacement was a chick who knew less than nothing. Then I tried Wilsonville, and got really nervous. I asked if they'd done a lot of the TSBs we're all aware of (tranny replacements, axel clicking, greasy window guides, tire feathering, etc) and got a completely blank look. WTF?
