Default Seattle has the best driver?...eh no

Lol @ this CNN report...I think we have ****ty drivers and roadrage is bad too. Don't some of you remember a car flip from brake-checking killing a college student at Cascadia/UW Bothell by exit 22 several years ago...

Dallas/Ft-Worth FTW, they are nicer around here b/c you never know who is going to shoot you if you honk at them.

Seattle drivers aren't bad. You don't get cut off that often, and people will often allow you to merge into lanes without blocking you.

That being said, Seattle has the worst traffic.

In general, I think Seattle drivers are more nice than other areas...but they're still terrible! IMO they just don't care or par attention to other cars...so many times I run into all 3 lanes of I-405 blocked by a car in each lane all going less than 60 MPH

It's all relative.

If you've never been outside of your area you don't know better. As an example I lived in Everett and made the commute to Bremerton for six months of the year driving around the Sound, and taking the ferries from downtown and from Mulikatio (spelling!). If I left early enough I could count on 80 mph along most of my trip. Living here the 91 freeway is already bumper-to-bumper stop-and-go WITH OUT WEATHER. CONSTRUCTION. or ACCIDENTS everyday by 5:15 in the morning. That's crazy. The traffic is heavier than most cities until 11:00 PM at night. There is on longer a rush hour - only the constant threat of grid lock at any hour of the day or night. The extra 12 million people in the LA basin have a bit more to do with the traffic.

My little Inland Empire is larger than Seattle, add OC and LA to that and the amount of people is crazy. California is bigger than the 22 smallest states combined. I do note that the drivers in Seattle and Portland are a whole lot less aggressive than here. That was a nice change and it took me a few months living there to back down a bit to fit in.

Seattle...uh Washington has some of the worse drivers in my opinion...they slow down for everything, regardless of which side of the road it is on...I've never seen anyone be so scared of something they see every day...rain haha It rains all hell breaks loose on I5

I miss driving in Cali...I loved the times I visited LA - going 80 MPH on the freeway and being passed like I was standing still...if you try to go 5-10 over the speed limit in Seatle, you'll get pulled over so quick!

I went up there on business a few weeks at a time. The drivers seemed nice and I never noticed anything compared to where I live in L.A.

The traffic on the 5 coming into Seattle after work was horrible. I learned to leave VERY early to make my planes.

Portland has the least amount of tailgaters? Maybe they mean that they are the most likely to leave at least 2-3 feet at 65 MPH...

You guys have never driven in NY, Boston or Chicago then, try that out then come back and see how "bad" washington/oregon drivers are. I watched as a cab sideswiped the cab I was riding in this weekend in chicago and not even stop.

Coming from someone who use to live in Seattle and has since moved to DC I'll tell you that Seattle drivers are wonderful drivers compared to Maryland/DC drivers. Please just take my word for it.
