Warmmilk won't be there today. He's out ATVing instead, was having issues with his clutch pedal sticking.

well, to those that didn't go...you didn't miss too much. Some pretty impresive times (8.59 by a supra) a lot of 10sec honda's, and some other decent cars running...parking lot was better. Some nice eye candy out there. Also a greddy twin turbo 350 with a built motor, but he didn't run. only saw 2 other z's, and 1 G. The G was actually racing, tried to cheer him on and teach him how to launch this car, but the end result wasn't too good. Got him to shave .5 sec's off his time though with my trick was still running 15's though with a pass in the 17's.

Don't get your hopes up too much for Nissan's fix. 300 miles on my new flywheel/pressure plate/clutch and I went for some late night runs. I had a fluke clutch pedal drop... what happened is I slipped the clutch a bit too long and applied a lot of throttle... by 3rd gear the pedal was to the ground. Out of the 20 or so launches I did that was the only drop. Even did a couple 4k and 5k launches letting it slip a bit off the launch and applying throttle lightly once I had dropped like 500 rpms from the initial launch rpm... No clutch drops (hell, much better than before, anything above 3500 would cause the pedal to drop).

The one "fluke" run leads me to believe either my clutch wasn't broken in completely (I had a few later runs where shifts into like 4th gear caused some "hang" between shifts), or that the stock clutch simply doesn't grab hard enough to handle any kind of application of power from a dig... And since the slave sits in the transmission now it's snagging the slave and pulling it in via inertia. Even after the abuse tonight it still clamps strong... as strong as when I picked it up. who knows, maybe my fluke clutch drop I had just worked the clutch in better with the flywheel pressure plate

I need to work on my 1->2 shift again. First is so short I think i'm getting giddy and shifting faster than i'm clutching causing me to scratch/grind 2nd sometimes.

Good news is I got a lot more wheel spin launching the car tonight than I ever have and a lot more bite from the clutch. Guess I'll go easy on it for a while longer and see how it goes...

I was told that the red RRev Motorsports Supra ran a 8.1xxx early in the day. My roomie races the white Supra with the RRev stickers on it, but from what I heard he didn't run too well today (9.4xx?) before bowing out with a broken throttle cable. I haven't had a chance to talk to him yet to find out the details though, so these are just the updates I've got via text message from another buddy who's out there with him. I wish I could've made it, but I didn't get back from my work trip in time

didn't see the 8.1 pass, i got there kinda late. Did get to see the white supra go down though. It was at the end of the night. Felt kinda bad for him. Had a huge smoke show burn out, got to the line, tree dropped, he launched, went about 2 feet, and stopped. Took like 6 people to push that car back behind the line. He ended up driving off after about 5 mins of people playing under the hood though.

Haha yep that's him! The throttle cable broke on his last "pass." He hadn't been able to spray nitrous all day b/c of some electrical problem, and then when they finally got the nitrous so it would spray once he started going, the throttle cable broke. Oh well, such is the life of a 9 second car I'm finding out. When you have a car that's that fast, they are always breaking something!

didn't run...clutch is starting to slip just on normal driving, and I tripped a check engine light the other day...good thing I ordered a new clutch already Also, I got there kinda late, around 7:30. Appt at nissan on tues for the check engine light. Hoping it's just my test pipes tripping it even though I got non-foulers on them.
