I live in Cali and I'm an import enthusiast. I know ALL about CARB.

Both you guys are from Washington.

That explains a lot.

You can't tell a guy what's what about turbocharging, emissions, legal matters especially when he is into all that stuff and does it of that AND lives in California.

Being into all that stuff and live in CALI makes you knowledgeable? Wow...someone's got a ****ing big *** ego. GTFO of the thread if you think you're so much better and more informed than us. The reason there is a discussion is where BOTH sides talk and hear each other out. If you only think you're right then go talk to a wall.

Settle down homie. Damn. lol.

I do happen to know quite a lot including search and seizure laws on top of the emissions laws and why they exist.

Triple8Sol or whatever his name made some comment about how the GTR is twin turbo from the factory and then just left it at that. For all I know, he thinks that all GTR with factory turbo systems are legal in Cali so I proceeded to school him on what actually needed to be done and that NOT ALL GTRs are legal in Cali.

Furthermore, I also learned quite a bunch of things when I MYSELF was forced to take off my turbo system after the cops in San Diego literally broke into my car and popped my hood to find my TN system. After hiring lawyers, speaking to cops I know and doing a bunch of research, I found that it was perfectly legal to break into my car especially when it is a CARB matter (drugs and guns are different stories in regards to consent and search warrants)

So yes, in the end, I PROBABLY am more knowledgeable than you guys when it comes to this stuff because I live in the biggest hippie-run and ****-enforced state in the Union.

I used to work up in Washington, Everett and Bellevue to be exact. The street racing scene is nowhere near as big as here so we get a lot of attention and have to know certain things that other enthusiasts in other states don't have to worry about.

There's too many trees and too much fresh air in WA. It kills your brain cells so you think lame jokes are funny.

You need some smog in your life!

I HIGHLY suggest it.

Whole island suffers from "cop overkill".

So Purple,

Aside from the detuning and the paperwork in which the company that did the testing performed, is there anyting special or out of the ordinary that you had to do in order to get the car on the street or did you just end-up purchasing the car of the lot and driving it like any other car?

LOL WTF are you blabbing about? You are the one who came in here with the SC comment, when purple pashin has a GTR. No mention of emissions whatsoever. So your first thought was that he took his TT GTR and swapped it for a SC?

I never knew that he was an owner of a GTR. Being as that this is a 350Z site, I, by default, thought he had a SC instead because he actually mentioned the word 'intercooler' to the cop.

In Cali, unless you have a factory turbo system (other kinds of cars), the only way you can mention 'intercooler' without breaking the law is if you have an SC system, even in WA.

When I found out he had a GTR, then it all made sense.

Comprende?

So what you're saying, is that you didn't really read the first post before you starting talking?

End rant.
And then when people tried to correct you, you went off on a thing about catalytic converters and emissions?

And then you get all smug with your knowledge of Motorex and import laws, that anyone with a subscription to Sport Compact Car has read.

None of this has anything to do with the topic that was started, but has done a terrific job of showing us all that you, sir, are a Jackass.

Good day.

Don't get smart. I stopped reading towards the end because I got the jist of his statement. That's all that happened and that mistake was acknowledged and passed along time ago to other matters.

You're being like a woman by blowing-up small insignificant details.

Good day.

If you read the posts, you will see that early-on I admitted my mistake in not knowing it was a Skyline he was talking about THEN I began to talk about other matters such as CARB and other legislative issues.

You guys are getting all worked-up like women over some very menial and minute things. Get off of it. No need to call names, Yolanda.

Lastly, don't try to be like some super moderators trying to have everyone 'stay-on-topic' as EVERYONE on this board has been guilty of changing the direction of a thread or two at least once in your life.
