^ You can't choose the people that drive the same car that you do. It's a car that'll give you a lotta bang for the buck, it just makes sense that anyone who wants to look like a baller that can afford one would own it too.

I've been trying for over a week now and the manager is never around when I call. They stake their claim on doing high end cars but their quality of work is no better than any other shop.

What really bugged me when I got the car back is that they didn't do anything to clean up the inside of the car. They dripped dishwashing fluid (or whatever they used) all over the interior while tinting the rear hatch. I know that should be expected, but put something down to keep the drippings off the interior or clean it up afterwards. Ghetto tinting install FTL.
Bottom line: Accutint in Bellevue are over priced hacks.

So the sun comes up and goes down for everybody. Days turn into months then turn into years. I am the "old man" you have referenced. 55 years and counting. I have alway been into rodding and have had my share of hot cars:
50 Chev Coupe, 375 hp 327, 4 speed, 911 gear. My very first car
57 Chev Injected Corvette 327, 4speed, 456 gear
65 Buick GS 400 bone stock
39 Chev coupe 350/350 4speed, 456 gears (fast)
69 SS396/350 Camaro, number matching and is in the garage today. Owned it for 26 years
Then my wife and I have had two Honda Preludes and two Acura Integras. Just traded in the 2001 Type SH 4 speed Prelude for an 07 350Z GT. Man I love the Z. Years do not change a persons love for rodding. It is in the BLOOD!
Let me tell another small story. One year we took our 69 SS to a vintage Chev car show sponsored by the Vintage Chevrolet Car Club. Nobody would even look at our car. They even treated us like crap. To them Vintage was the only thing, anything newer than 62 didn’t matter. Even though our Camaro has won numerous car shows and a first place best of show at Super Chevy Sunday, they could not care less.
So I have friends in a local Camaro club who make fun of import cars and “tuners” like in this forum. Even though my wife and I have had numerous "rice burners" Hate that terminology, they still ridicule. I just say to them, "it is this generations version of rodding" and I love it and respect it. Rodding is rodding is tuning. There are many cars here that would smoke my 396 and I respect that.
Back to the intent of this thread. Age has no factor to rodding unless your biased and closed minded. Most women are probably driving automatic Z cars so more power to them. Where I live there are not many Z cars so I am glad to see any of them.

to redlude97, yes it was. We tried selling our Prelude for 1 month, Craigslist, Autotrader, paper. It was a 2001 low mile car in near perfect condition. We got one phone call in the month we tried so we traded it in. The Prelude was nice. I like VTEC but the Z would kick butt on the Honda in all aspects. The bone stock 07 Z is almost as fast as my 396 Camaro. (straight line). Z corners like a slot car, old Camaros DON"T

It was a 5 speed Prelude. Nice car for it's time but a 200 hp motor just wasn't enough. I like the statement I read somewhere here at 350Z.com
VTEC, turbo lag without the boost. Funny. At about 4000 rpm a different engine takes over. Like opening up the secondaries on a dual feed Holley. Opps, probably some of you guys never seen a carburator
